Platform data privacy policy

We inform you about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of the data collected on this Platform conducted in the frame of the StratKIT project, coordinated by the University of Helsinki (Finland). Participating institutes and contact details can be found in the section StratKIT.

You can visit the platform without telling us who you are. We will only know the name of your Internet service provider, the website from which you visit us, and the websites that you call up from us. This information may be evaluated for statistical purposes.

We collect, process and use personal data of users only in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations. This means that users' data will only be used if legal permission or consent has been obtained.

We take organisational, contractual and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure that the provisions of the data protection laws are complied with and thus to protect the data administered by us against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons.

As provider of this platform and responsible according to Art. 4 No. 7 EU Data Protection Basic Regulation ("DS-GVO"), we, agrathaer GmbH, observe the applicable data protection regulations, in particular the DS-GVO.

Insofar as links lead to third party websites, we do point out that the guarantees of our data protection statement do not apply there.

What data we collect?

This platform asks information on your or your company name and address, e mail address, and description of your activity, further to a picture you are allowed to use according to the copyright rules. We collect the information that you provide directly by registering to the platform as partner of the network or best practice example provider.

No data considered as special category data under Article 9 of the GDPR (sensitive personal data) will be processed.

The legal basis for data processing is your consent. There will be no negative consequences for you if you choose not to participate. We take your privacy seriously and treat your data in accordance with the statutory provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The information you provide is used for mapping and experience sharing purposes in two sections of the platform: Networking (mapping) and Inspiration (best practice collection).

The personal data collected in the course of using our platform will not be passed on to third parties or transferred in any other way unless we are legally entitled or obliged to do so (e.g. for the purposes of criminal prosecution) or you have given us your consent.

If you contact us with an enquiry, we process your name and e-mail address exclusively for the purpose of processing your enquiry and contacting you in this regard. The legal basis is Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. b) DS-GVO. All other details are voluntary and will only be processed on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. a DS-GVO.

Why do we collect this data?

StratKIT network of food procurement and catering services stakeholders starts as support to StratKIT project. The first involved network members are the project partners and the associated partners. From them and from further interested actors, a best practices repository is shared at BSR level. This allows actors to interact directly on the platform, and aims to interlinking other networks and integrating the information.

StratKIT network favour a transnational peer to peer/transdisciplinary knowledge exchange and cooperation, uptake of innovative approaches, sharing project results beyond project lifetime. Such information may be used for the statistical analysis of the results.

How do we secure the data in our possession?

The personal data collected will be retained until the end of 2026 and deleted once the website is closed."

What rights do you have regarding your data until they are on the website?

In accordance with the EU GDPR, you have the following rights on your data:

  • The right to rectification (GDPR § 16)
  • The right to erasure or right to be forgotten (GDPR § 17)
  • The right to restrict processing (GDPR § 18)
  • The right to data portability (GDPR § 20)
  • The right to object (GDPR § 21)
  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (GDPR § 77).
  • You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time in the future with no adverse consequences. Your data will then be anonymized or deleted immediately in accordance with your withdrawal declaration

Further information

This data privacy policy follows the result exploitation and data protection principles laid out in the StratKiT consortium agreement. It is in accordance with the data protection regulations and ethics standards required by the EC.

The hosting services we use serve to provide the following services: Infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, e-mail dispatch, security services and technical maintenance services which we use for the purpose of operating this online service.
